Start driving from the beginning.
Never driven before? Start with a private lesson that builds vehicle control and observation before moving into more demanding Brooklyn traffic.
Your first goal: feel in control
Tell your instructor that you are starting from zero. Begin with seating, mirrors, controls, smooth starts and stops, steering and looking where you want the car to go. Progress depends on your actual comfort and skill, rather than a fixed number of sessions.
Build skills in a useful order
Move from controlled turns and correct lane position to intersections, right-of-way, traffic awareness and parking. Ask for a short recap: what improved today, what still needs work, and what to practice next.
One lesson before a larger commitment
An individual lesson gives the instructor a chance to assess your starting point. Compare packages after you understand how much practice you need; a larger package is not automatically the right choice for every student.
Bring your permit and plan the meeting point
Bring your valid learner permit and any required corrective lenses. Confirm the start time, meeting address and pickup arrangement with the office. Tell the team about any concerns before your lesson.
Frequently asked questions.
Do I need experience?
No prior driving experience is needed to start with the fundamentals. Tell us your current level when booking.
How many lessons will I need?
There is no reliable number for everyone. Experience, practice between lessons and the skills you want to learn all matter. Your instructor can suggest a plan after assessing your driving.
Do lessons include the 5-Hour Course?
An individual driving lesson is separate from the class. A package includes only the items listed in its current service details.
Clear answers before you book.
Understand the lesson, the course and the test-day arrangements before choosing your next step.
