As parents, one of our most important responsibilities is to keep our children safe. While we often think of safety in terms of crossing the street, wearing helmets, and using seat belts, it’s just as important to teach our kids about safety in and around cars. Here are some tips for teaching kids about car safety.
Seat Belt Safety
The first and most obvious safety rule is to always wear a seat belt. Teach your children that they should never ride in a car without wearing a seat belt, no matter how short the trip. Explain to them that seat belts are designed to keep them safe in case of an accident, and make sure they understand how to buckle and unbuckle their seat belt properly.
Don’t Play in or Around Cars
Kids love to play and explore, but it’s important to teach them that cars are not toys. Make sure they know that they should never play in or around parked cars, as they could accidentally get trapped inside or hit by a moving car. Make sure to keep your car locked and the keys out of reach of children.
Consequently, what should you do with your eyes while driving,
Focus on the vehicle in front.
Keep watching the traffic all around you.
Keep view on rear mirror.
Don’t Approach Moving Cars
Teach your kids to never approach a car that is moving, even if it’s just backing out of a driveway or parking space. Make sure they understand that they need to stay a safe distance away from moving cars to avoid getting hit.
Know road safety,
No injury. No road safety, Then
know injury.

Look Before Crossing
Teach your kids to always look both ways before crossing the street, even if they’re just walking through a parking lot. Make sure they know to watch for cars that may be backing up or turning and to make eye contact with the driver to ensure they see them.
